1. Introduction

This policy explains what data HortusPal collects and how it is used. We follow data minimisation: only what's necessary.

2. Data collected

Your email (sign-in), the data you enter (plants, zones, journal, photos), your language and, if you provide it, your garden location (for weather).

3. Use

Your data is used only to run the service: display your garden, generate your tasks, send your sign-in link. No resale, no advertising.

4. Hosting

Data is hosted at Supabase (database and photos) and Vercel (app), in Europe. Each user is isolated at the database level (RLS).

5. AI features

When you use an AI feature (sheet enrichment, identification, advice), the necessary context is sent to an AI provider. Enriched sheets may be cached and shared anonymously (per species), never tied to your identity.

6. Sharing

We do not share your personal data with any third party, other than the strictly necessary technical providers (hosting, payment, AI).

7. Your rights

You can access, export, correct or delete your data at any time, directly in the app or by email.

8. Cookies

Only technical session cookies (to keep you signed in). No advertising tracking cookies.

9. Retention

Your data is kept as long as your account exists. On account deletion, it is erased.
